Sam and Matthew in Normandy beach
Intimate and mysterious atmosphere
with a morning winter mist in January 2018
This couple of men settled in a majestic traditional Norman house at the edge of the Channel, in a town of Calvados : "The home-Varaville", to live 3 days of Elopement and to be committed under a mist offering an atmosphere full of mystery proper to this feeling "Love" which brings together two beings, separated at the beginning by a continent : they met in USA, Sameera is from Sri Lanka and soon they will join London. They chose elegance and nobility, the magic of Nature, an infinite space and the oceanic freshness in winter, to seal their union with a symbolic ceremony in English, simple but intense. Testimonial from the couple :
We chose Celebrante Agathia to oversee our ceremony of elopement for several reasons: her perspective on love and willingness to work with a same-sex couple, her proficiency in delivering the ceremony in English, and her preparedness, as she made a strong effort to understand us and our relationship in order to completely customize the ceremony that focused solely on us and our love. The energy she expended in ensuring the ceremony was a success is truly appreciated, particularly given the short timeframe she had to work with (6 weeks).Â
Comment on the elopement :
We chose this location as it brought back memories of a weekend we spent in Normandy that we cherished so much. Eloping allowed us to be comfortable and relaxed. We focused on simplicity and embracing Norman culture. Our candle was from Cire Trudon, a company that manufactures candles in Normandy and we chose seasonal flowers from a local florist in Honfleur chosen the day before. The venue was in the garden overlooking the ocean and needed no further decoration. In the morning, it was bright and sunny and at the time of the ceremony, the winter mist had fully embraced us to the point where the sea was hidden, which fully captured the beauty of Normandy in Winter.
The opinion of the celebrant :
Winter offers other attractive features to get married and these two lovers chose a beautiful location to host their elopement. I felt charmed on my arrival by this Norman and oceanic atmosphere surrounded us , for a very intimate and friendly moment. Pure happiness !
